The exact link you share, including short links and deep links. Redirects are followed.

Try:
What this checks
  1. How the link looks in chat apps, social posts and team chat
  2. og:title, og:description and og:image
  3. The image loads and is large enough
  4. twitter:card and the canonical URL
  5. Which page the link redirects to

What this checker does

  • Fetches the URL the way an unfurler does, following redirects, and reads the tags on the final page.
  • Shows the three card shapes most apps use: a large image card, a compact card and a message bubble.
  • Checks og:title, og:description, og:image, image size, twitter:card and the canonical URL.
  • Downloads the image to confirm it exists and is served as an image.

Previews for deep links

Deep links and short links often redirect before the visitor reaches content, so a shared link can end up previewing an app store page or a blank redirect page. Ulinkly links serve their own title, description and image to unfurlers, so every shared link gets a proper card while people who tap it still go straight into your app.

Frequently asked questions

Which tags control a link preview?
Most apps read Open Graph tags: og:title, og:description, og:image and og:url. X also reads twitter:card, and falls back to the Open Graph tags for the rest. Without them, apps fall back to the page title and description, or show no preview at all.
What size should og:image be?
Use 1200 by 630 pixels, a 1.91:1 ratio, as a JPG or PNG under a few megabytes, served over HTTPS. Large cards need at least 600 by 315. Setting og:image:width and og:image:height helps some apps render the first share before they have downloaded the image.
Why does an app still show my old preview?
Social apps cache previews, often for days. After fixing your tags, use the app's own refresh tool where one exists, or share the URL with a harmless query parameter added so it is treated as a new link.
Why does the preview show the wrong page after a redirect?
Apps follow redirects and read the tags on the final page. If a short link or deep link redirects to an app store or a login page, the preview shows that page. Serving preview tags on the link itself avoids this.
